At Twingate, we believe security tools should make your life easier, not more complicated. Resource Tagging is our way of helping you spend less time managing and more time doing the work that actually matters.
Today, we're excited to announce the general availability of Resource Tagging in Twingate, which allows you to add rich, contextual metadata to your network resources.

Network administrators already know a lot about the resources across their network:
Which team owns a specific resource
The purpose of each cloud machine
Where a specific resource is located
Resource Tagging allows you to apply these attributes directly to your Twingate Resources. From there, you can easily identify and effectively organize the Resources your users can connect to.
Key features of Resource Tagging
Tags are displayed on multiple surfaces, including the Resource detail page. You can see a list of all the tags on individual Resources, or filter for Resources associated with a specific tag or set of tags by using tag filters.
Add helpful labels: Quickly attach key information to your resources
Find anything in seconds: Search and filter resources with just a few clicks
Make adjustments easily: Add, delete, or modify tags and filters in just a few clicks
Leverage intelligent suggestions: Twingate automatically suggests tag keys and values based on your other Resource tags.
Automate tag management
All of our Resource endpoints have been updated with tags, making it easy to automate tag management. You can also pull tags that you’ve defined in your cloud provider directly into Twingate.
We built Resource Tagging to give you administrative flexibility, so we support a range of different tools and workflows to programmatically manage your tags, including:
API
Terraform
Pulumi - coming soon
Kubernetes Operator - coming soon
This allows you to programmatically tag resources as you define them via your preferred infrastructure-as-code or orchestration tools.
Get started with Resource Tagging
As always, you can find more information on resource tagging - including restrictions on tags and suggested tagging strategies - in our documentation.
New to Twingate? You can try out Twingate for free or request a personalized demo from our team.
Rapidly implement a modern Zero Trust network that is more secure and maintainable than VPNs.
